Our Doctor

As the daughter of Dr. Solon Alexiou, Dr. Barbara Alexiou-Manofsky has always admired her father and was excited to follow in his footsteps. Dr. Barbara is a Hudson High School graduate and attended Ohio University for her undergraduate. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University. After dental school, Dr. Barbara moved to Akron to join her father at his practice until she took over in 2021.

Dr. Barbara now resides in West Akron with her husband, Ben, and two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, being outdoors, and taking care of her garden and bees.

Dr. Barbara’s approach to dentistry has always been to treat patients like family and help them maintain their optimal oral health. She reviews patients' overall health, listens to their inputs and concerns, and works together with her patients to figure out the best plan for their treatment. She continues her extensive education by taking numerous courses in Botox, Lip Fillers, treatment for oral-facial pain, whitening, implants, sleep appliances, and orthodontics so patients have comprehensive care for all their dental needs.
