INSURANCE
We offer a complimentary benefits check on your first visit, so you will know exactly what your Insurance covers before any treatment. We accept and submit claims to all insurance companies. Every insurance plan is different, and our experts can help you learn how to best use yours. If you have any questions, please give us a call and we can help you navigate your benefits.
Your First Visit
First appointments are always a little nerve-racking (we get it!), but to ease your stress, here’s exactly what to expect at your first visit with Alexiou Dental.
Your Current Dental Insurance Card
X-rays (if applicable) from previous dentist. These can be emailed to our office, as well.
A list of your current medications
Completed patient registration forms. These will be emailed or texted to you at your preference. If you are unable to fill out your forms online, please arrive to your appointment 10 minutes early to fill these out.
What to Bring
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our front office staff. They will review your forms and make a copy of your dental insurance card.
Your initial consultation takes anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half depending on your treatment needs. We are here to help create a customized treatment plan that’s tailored just for you.
What to Expect
Your initial appointment will start off with our team taking any necessary dental x-rays. Next Dr. Barbara will complete a full comprehensive review of your dental needs and concerns, a review of your health history, and full exam of your teeth and gums. She will discuss your current oral health status and explain any recommended treatments or goals. Depending on your initial exam, your appointment will also include a dental cleaning by one of our hygienist. Additional treatment may be scheduled for a future date. This careful approach allows us to properly diagnose and thoughtfully plan any needed procedures.
